Meg Carnie is an accomplished Music Business educator with two years of teaching experience at BA (Level 4, 5, and 6), specialising in innovation, sustainability, and ideation. Her role as a tutor at WaterBear – The College of Music has been instrumental in shaping aspiring music entrepreneurs, providing them with real-world insights and practical skills to succeed in the industry.

Meg Carnie is a dynamic guest speaker and an active contributor to panels that focus on music education and the ever-evolving music business. Her expertise spans a broad range of topics, including grassroots initiatives, organisational strategies, and industry-wide conversations. In November 2024, Meg spoke at MIME's Teaching Entrepreneurialism Panel Talk in Manchester, where she shared her insights on fostering entrepreneurship within music education. This event brought together industry leaders and educators to discuss how we approach and develop the musician mindset.
Meg also shows a keen interest in the challenges and opportunities faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). She is passionate about understanding how businesses can strategise to grow and thrive in competitive markets. The focus on SMEs informs her teaching and public speaking, as she encourages the next generation of entrepreneurs to think critically about business models that can support long-term success. In June 2024, Meg and Alice Benham cohosted a panel talk highlighting the Business Mindset, Growth, and Marketing, exploring the real highs and lows of running a startup-turn-SME.
In addition, Meg spoke at the International Women's Day 2025 Panel Talk at PLATF9RM. This panel championed women in business meanwhile discussing stigmas, personal experiences, overcoming situations, and finance - areas of business which are often less discussed, but equally important to share. This panel showed true resilience, adaptability and assertiveness.
